Defending Class 5A state champion Cedar Park continued its dominance of girls high school basketball by extending its winning streak to 51 straight games after back-to-back wins.

The Timberwolves topped Liberty Hill, 50-25, and Glenn, 69-50.

On Tuesday, Jan. 25, an 18-0 run to start the game helped Cedar Park to a 32-3 advantage at halftime, and Liberty Hill never threatened.

Forward Gisella Maul led Cedar Park with 23 points, while forward Shelby Hayes added 12. Molly Ly followed with 11. Cedar Park’s 50th straight victory ended a three-game winning streak for Liberty Hill, which dropped to 21-11.

On Friday, Jan. 28, Cedar Park got off to a 34-23 halftime lead against Glenn and expanded it to 58-33 entering the fourth quarter.

Cedar Park, 27-0 this season, hasn’t lost since November 2020.
