CapMetro is introducing the Transit Plan 2035, aiming to involve local business owners in shaping the future of Central Texas’ transit system. This initiative seeks to build a more connected and accessible region.

“Think of Transit Plan 2035 as CapMetro’s master blueprint for the next decade,” stated CapMetro. The plan involves understanding current rider needs, analyzing regional movement patterns, and identifying gaps in existing services.

CapMetro emphasizes the importance of community involvement. “We want YOU to help co-create this roadmap,” they added, highlighting the vital role of local business owners.

A series of engagement activities are planned over several weeks:

1. **Survey and Online Engagement (September 15 to October 18)**: Business owners can visit CapMetro’s website to share their thoughts through a quick survey.

2. **Community Night Open House (October 10, 4 to 8 pm at the Millennium Youth Complex)**: This event offers roller skating, bowling, free food, interactive transit games, and opportunities to discuss ideas with the CapMetro team.

3. **Webinars and Community Events**: For those unable to attend the open house, future webinars and community events will be available. Updates can be found on CapMetro’s website.

4. **Talk to us in Transit (September & October)**: CapMetro will conduct outreach at bus stops on October 9 and onboard surveys starting September 25.

CapMetro underscores that an improved transit system benefits local businesses by facilitating customer and employee access while promoting a greener region.
