Last week, Lago Vista cheerleaders won the second straight UIL state title.

Lago Vista won the 2022 title with a score of 94.40. The Vikings also finished first in the fight song and band chant competitions.
“Lago Vista HS wins the 2022 #UILState Spirit 3A-D1 Team Championship. This is the second-straight title and third in the last four years for Viking Cheer,” said the University Interscholastic League on Facebook.
Lago Vista also won championships in 2019 and 2021, with a second-place finish last year wedged in between.
The title win of Lago Vista cheerleaders is the third in the past four years.
Apart from this, the team also got the chance to cheer at the 2022 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando in February.
