BookPeople is set to host a day-long celebration of “The Lord of the Rings” on January 26, 2024. The event will run from 9 AM to 9 PM and is open to the public at no cost. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costume as they partake in various themed activities.

One of the highlights includes a Tolkien-themed scavenger hunt throughout the store. Participants who complete the hunt will receive a 15% off coupon for use at BookPeople.

From 2 PM to 5 PM, Bom Bakeshop will transform CoffeePeople into The Green Dragon, offering exclusive mochi donut flavors inspired by “The Lord of the Rings.” A special photo booth will also be available during this time. Limited à la carte donuts can be purchased on the day, but those interested in pre-ordering a full set can join Bom Bakeshop’s waitlist for notifications.

At 3 PM, attendees can test their knowledge with “Lord of the Rings” trivia. Winners will receive special prizes from BookPeople.

In addition, two Middle-Earth themed Dungeons & Dragons campaigns will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM. Each session accommodates five players and requires a $10 deposit ticket through Eventbrite, which will be refunded as a gift card upon check-in.

Seating for trivia is first-come, first-served. For further questions, attendees are directed to BookPeople’s Eventbrite FAQ or may contact them via email at online@bookpeople.com. The bookstore reserves the right to modify or cancel events if necessary.
