The Book Club Was Better, a group dedicated to exploring books and their adaptations, has announced its upcoming meeting focused on “Gone Girl.” This club explores a variety of books, including bestsellers with new adaptations and lesser-known classics that have been adapted into films. Discussions center around the differences between the written work and its cinematic interpretation.

Meetings are held every second Monday at 7 pm on the third floor of BookPeople. Those interested in joining can subscribe to the mailing list or attend a meeting without prior registration.

“Join us to discuss what’s lost (or found) in adaptation,” invites the club’s announcement.
