Benise, known as “The Prince of Spanish Guitar,” will mark 25 years of performing with a new tour featuring Spanish guitar and dance. The event will include music styles such as Spanish Flamenco, Cuban Salsa, Brazilian Samba, Parisian Waltz, and drumming. Benise’s show is recognized for blending world music with elaborate dance routines, making it a unique production in its genre.
The 25th anniversary tour continues Benise’s Emmy Award-winning show, which is among the longest-running Latin-themed theatrical productions on tour. Benise began his career as a street performer and later appeared on “Dancing With The Stars.” He stated, “I wanted to push the boundaries of Nuevo Flamenco/Spanish guitar while combining the elements of dance and theater. This show is a celebration of all the shows we’ve done over the last 25 years.”
Audiences can expect a two-hour performance that features both new material and fan favorites from Benise’s early days, including renditions of Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” and AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.” The program also includes classic pieces like “Ave Maria,” “Moonlight Sonata,” and Vivaldi’s “Summer” from The Four Seasons. According to Benise, “This is a great show for the whole family; I really think we have something for everyone. I hope people will be inspired by our story, by the music, by the production–and have the passion to follow their own dreams.”
The event has been described as “The Latin Riverdance,” highlighting its blend of theatrical world music and dance. Other media reviews include “Bennissimo!” from Chicago News and “Extreme Flamenco Fusion” from Screen India.
