Thursday, Oct. 7
Hearth & Soul ATX is excited to have the works of equine artist Clare Christie featured during its upcoming Art Exhibition and Bourbon Tasting at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Mike Mogavero from Compass Real Estate will host the event and samples of Nine Banded Whiskey are available.
SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY by José Rivera, according to theatredance.utexas.edu, “examines what it means to be alive at this particular time and place and what traces each of us will leave behind,” through the use of 28 monologues. Friday, Oct. 8
Award-winning fantasy-comedy movie, Hocus Pocus will be shown at The Globe Drive-In Theater on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and spots are assigned by car size and on a first-come-first-serve basis, according to the theater.
Life is full of surprises and Pulitzer-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire has shown this through a comedy play that will highlight one woman’s outrageous journey that plunges her deep into the unknown. From Oct. 8 to 24, Trinity Street Playhouse will be playing Wonder of the World. It runs at 8 p.m. every Thursday – Saturday, and 3 p.m. every Sunday. Click this link for tickets and reservations.

The men’s ministry of Vintage Church, Forged, will be holding its first FORGED Men’s Breakfast at Vintage Church Harker Heights 171 Farm-To-Market 3219 at 8 a.m. It would be a morning of a hearty meal, connection, discussion and teaching from Pastor Stephen, until 10 a.m.
Attend St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake’s major fundraising event of the year — Oktoberfest. Attendees can enjoy sumptuous homemade casseroles, baked goods and great crafts. There will also be a silent auction, a children’s area, games for everyone, a petting zoo, a miniature train and a raffle.
Sunday, Oct. 10
It’s Sunday Funday when you make your own handprint masks and join the masquerade at the Neill-Cochran House Museum. Just pay for the museum admission and you can enjoy the three-hour event. Drop by anytime between 1 to 4 p.m. See for yourselves how great it is to spend your Sunday at the museum with lots of activities in store for you with all supplies provided for the handprint masks.
There would be a classical music concert at the Tiemann Art Gallery this Sunday starting at 4 p.m. Classical musicians Toby Blumenthal and Douglas Harvey are making this happen through their “Soul of the Cello” Concert. Tickets and other information are available here.
