Austin is having a festive week. 

Wednesday, Sept. 22

Running through Saturday, Sept. 25, The Texas Tribune Festival will be presenting various speakers in virtual and in-person events. The festival is a “multi-day celebration of big, bold ideas about politics, public policy and the day’s news.” Tickets are available to watch on-demand but over 20 sessions are free to watch too.

Relive Chet Baker’s music on Wednesday with Born to Be Blue featuring Ethan Hawke and Carmen Ejogo. Watch the show at Monks Jazz Club located at 501 Pedernales St, Austin. The show starts from 7:50 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Price ranges from $10 General Admission, $30 Cafe Table for 2, and $60 Cafe Table for 4.
