Austin police seek public’s help identifying suspects in liquor theft

The Austin Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify two suspects involved in a theft at Twin Liquors on Newman Drive. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at around 8:50 p.m.

According to police reports, the suspects entered the store with Raylen McLennan, who already has warrants for his arrest. They allegedly stole several hundred dollars worth of tequila while the cashier was occupied with another customer. The group then fled in a Silver Ford Escape with paper license plates.

Suspect descriptions have been provided by authorities. Suspect 1 is described as a Black male in his mid-20s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing camouflage shorts and a black t-shirt featuring “KING of KINGS” on the front and “Lord of Lords” on the back. Suspect 2 is also described as a Black male but with a thin build and in his early 20s. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans.

The police encourage anyone with information to submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting their website or calling their hotline. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
