Austin Police seek public’s help identifying Walmart robbery suspect

On August 11, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a robbery occurred at the Walmart located at 13201 N FM 620 northbound and U.S. Highway 183 in Austin. According to the Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit, a suspect stole several items from the store and assaulted an employee before leaving the scene. The suspect then boarded a CapMetro bus.

The APD describes the suspect as a white male between 25 and 35 years old with a thin build and balding head. He has tattoos on both arms and his left leg. At the time of the incident, he was last seen wearing a blue shirt, long khaki shorts, a colorful necklace, white shoes, and a green and white hat featuring a handgun design on the front.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact APD’s Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting https://austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. “A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest,” according to police.
