Austin Police seek public’s help identifying suspect in credit card abuse case

Austin Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a credit card abuse case that occurred on September 23, 2025. The incident took place at approximately 7:56 p.m. at the HEB store located at 2652 Lake Austin Blvd.

According to police, an unidentified man used a stolen credit or debit card that had been taken during a vehicle burglary. The suspect is described as a Black male with a black beard featuring some gray and tattoos on his neck and arms.

Authorities encourage anyone with information about the suspect or the case to submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting https://austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
