Austin police seek public’s help identifying robbery suspect from South Pleasant Valley Road

Austin Police Department detectives are seeking help from the public to identify a suspect involved in a robbery at the Dollar General located at 1401 South Pleasant Valley Road. The incident took place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at approximately 3:33 p.m.

According to police, the suspect threatened a store employee before fleeing in a vehicle with stolen merchandise. The individual is described as a Black male between 30 and 40 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, and a black baseball cap with white lettering.

The vehicle used in the escape is described as a blue Hyundai.

Police have released photos of both the suspect and the vehicle in hopes that someone may recognize them. Anyone with information is asked to contact APD’s Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
