Austin police seek public’s help identifying aggravated robbery suspects

The Austin Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify suspects involved in an aggravated robbery that took place in downtown Austin on July 19, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m.

According to police, the suspects were engaged in a verbal argument with several women who were visiting the city for a bachelorette party. During the encounter, a female suspect assaulted one of the women. Afterward, both suspects left the scene in a light-colored van or SUV, taking personal property belonging to the victim.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female between 25 and 40 years old, with tattoos on one arm, both thighs, and her torso’s side. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and gray and white Nike shoes.

The second suspect is described as a Black male between 30 and 40 years old, standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall with a stocky build and an arm tattoo. He was last seen wearing a white Jordan t-shirt, blue jeans, and gray shoes.

“Anyone with any information should contact APD’s Robbery unit at 512-974-5092. You may submit your tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest,” according to the department.

Police have released descriptions of both suspects in hopes that members of the community can assist with their identification.
