Austin police seek public help in identifying Walmart robbery suspect

Detectives from the Austin Police Department (APD) are seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in a robbery at a Walmart located at North FM 620 northbound and U.S. Highway 183. The incident occurred on Monday, August 11, 2025, around 2:30 p.m.

According to APD’s Robbery Unit, the suspect stole several items and assaulted an employee while leaving the store. After the incident, he reportedly boarded a CapMetro bus.

The suspect is described as a white male between 25 to 35 years old with a thin build and balding hair. He has tattoos on both arms and his left leg. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue shirt, long khaki shorts, a colorful necklace, white shoes, and a green and white hat featuring a handgun design.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact APD’s Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting their website or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
