Austin police seek public help in aggravated assault case involving armed suspects

The Austin Police Department is seeking public assistance in an investigation into an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The incident occurred on August 15, 2025, at approximately 10:29 p.m. at Pinstack, located at 500 Canyon Ridge Drive.

According to the police, two female suspects entered the establishment, and one of them became aggressive and displayed a weapon towards an employee. After being escorted outside by a security officer, one suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at the officer during a struggle for the weapon. Both suspects then fled in a white Chevrolet sedan last seen heading towards the IH 35 service road.

No injuries were reported in this incident. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5 feet tall, with long black hair and a right arm sleeve tattoo. She was last seen wearing clear-lensed glasses, a black polo shirt, light blue jeans, and black and red Jordan shoes. The second suspect, who was driving the vehicle, is also described as Hispanic, about 4 feet 11 inches tall with dark brown hair. She wore a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.

The vehicle involved is believed to be a white Chevrolet Malibu sedan from around 2013-2015.

Authorities urge anyone with information about this case or the suspects’ identities to contact the Aggravated Assault Unit at 512-974-5177. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting their website or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
