Austin Police seek public help identifying suspect in credit card fraud case

Detectives from the Austin Police Department are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in credit card abuse. The incident occurred on August 11, 2025, at approximately 10:48 a.m. at Happy Clouds, located at 7205 N. Lamar Boulevard.

According to police, surveillance footage shows the suspect making purchases with credit cards that were stolen during a vehicle burglary near 613 W Saint Johns Avenue. The individual is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s with a bowl haircut and possible vitiligo on his face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a grey sweater and shorts.

The department encourages anyone with information about the case to submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting https://austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
