Austin police seek public help identifying suspect in bank robbery

Austin Police Department detectives are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect connected to a robbery that took place at the Chase Bank located at 9901 N. Lamar Boulevard on November 25, 2025.

According to the department, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. The suspect displayed a handgun and stole property from the victim, including an undisclosed amount of cash. The individual also took the victim’s vehicle during the incident.

The suspect is described as either Hispanic or White male, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, face covering, black pants with white piping down the leg, black gloves, and black shoes.

The stolen vehicle is identified as a gray 2018 Honda Civic with Texas license plate VFS6424 and visible damage on the left side of the hood.

Authorities urge anyone with information about this case to contact APD’s Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Anonymous tips can be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. “A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest,” according to police.
