The Travis County Medical Examiner (TCME) has positively identified the deceased body found on June 26, 2024, in the 4300 block of Westbank Drive as Anne Ringold. The cause of death will be determined by the TCME. At this time, no foul play is suspected, and this is not being investigated as a homicide. This remains an active and ongoing death investigation, with no further information available for release.

The Austin Police Department (APD) Missing Persons Unit is requesting help in locating 70-year-old Anne Ringold.

Ms. Ringold was last seen walking eastbound in the 100 block of Sandra Muraida Way at approximately 11:09 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024. Ms. Ringold regularly walks in the area with a wheeled cart. She was last seen with her cart and a black bag.

APD expressed concern about her immediate welfare.
