Detectives from the Austin Police Department (APD) have released new images of a person of interest in connection to the homicide investigation of Alyssa Ann Rivera. The 34-year-old Hispanic female was found deceased on June 21, 2024, at approximately 4:06 p.m., in an abandoned house located in the 2600 block of Metcalfe Road.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding this case to contact the Austin Police Department at 512-974-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.

On the day of the incident, APD officers responded to a call reporting a deceased person at the specified location. Upon arrival, they discovered Rivera’s body and pronounced her dead shortly thereafter. Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists processed the scene and conducted witness interviews. Detectives believe Rivera was murdered by an unknown suspect at that location.

This case marks Austin’s 27th homicide of 2024.
