Austin Police locate missing woman after public assistance request

The Austin Police Department (APD) reported that Rawand Almadi, a 24-year-old woman who was previously listed as missing, has been located and there is no immediate concern for her safety.

According to APD, Almadi was last seen on November 23, 2025, around 4 p.m. at the HEB store at 5800 West Slaughter Lane. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a brown hijab, a blue jean jacket, a long black skirt, and carrying a red handbag. Police described Almadi as a Middle Eastern female with brown hair and hazel eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds.

Detectives from the APD Missing Persons Unit had expressed concern for Almadi’s welfare due to her health conditions.

In an update provided by the department: “APD has confirmed information regarding Rawand’s location and determined there is no immediate concern for her safety.”

Previously, authorities had asked anyone with information about Almadi’s whereabouts to contact emergency services immediately.
