Austin police investigate single-vehicle fatality on N SH 130 southbound

Austin Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on December 11, 2025, at approximately 5:33 a.m. in the 11100 block of North State Highway 130 southbound. Officers responded to the scene and found an unidentified male driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, deceased.

According to authorities, this marks Austin’s 86th fatal crash of the year, resulting in 90 fatalities so far in 2025. By comparison, on the same date in 2024, there had been 85 fatal crashes with an equal number of deaths.

Police stated that these details are based on their initial assessment and that the investigation is ongoing. “These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.”
