Austin Police investigate fatal stabbing on Bending Bough Trail

Austin Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on December 18, 2025, in the 11100 block of Bending Bough Trail. Officers responded to a report of a shooting or stabbing at 7:04 a.m. and found Walter Connor, a 74-year-old man, inside his residence with traumatic injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:52 a.m.

According to police, homicide detectives and crime scene specialists processed the scene and interviewed witnesses. Their investigation determined that Connor had been stabbed by one of his roommates, Isaiah Jackson, age 22. Jackson left the scene before officers arrived but returned shortly after and was taken into custody. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

“This case is being investigated as Austin’s 52nd homicide of 2025,” according to the Austin Police Department.
