Austin Police investigate fatal pedestrian crash on East Riverside Drive

On the evening of November 12, 2025, Austin Police Department officers responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 2200 block of East Riverside Drive. The incident occurred at approximately 8:32 p.m.

The pedestrian, an unidentified female, was taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released her identity.

According to police, this marks Austin’s 83rd fatal crash in 2025, resulting in 87 fatalities so far this year. For comparison, by the same date in 2024 there had been 78 fatal crashes and 83 deaths. These figures are based on initial assessments and may be updated as the investigation continues.
