Austin police investigate fatal multi-vehicle crash on West Parmer Lane

On November 22, 2025, Austin Police Department officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the 2800 block of West Parmer Lane at approximately 2:37 p.m. The crash involved four vehicles. One of the drivers, identified as Larissa Herold, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Other individuals involved in the incident either were not injured or sustained only minor injuries.

This case marks Austin’s 85th fatal crash of 2025, with a total of 89 fatalities reported so far this year. By comparison, on the same date in 2024, there had been 79 fatal crashes resulting in 84 deaths. Authorities note that these figures are based on initial assessments and may change as the investigation continues.
