Austin police investigate fatal motorcycle crash on East Braker Lane

Austin Police Department officers responded to a crash early Thursday morning in the 1900 block of East Braker Lane. According to officials, the call came in at 2:10 a.m. reporting a serious injury following a collision.

Upon arrival, police found an unidentified male who had been driving a motorcycle involved in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:28 a.m.

The Austin Police Department reported that this incident marks the city’s 57th fatal crash of 2025, bringing the total number of traffic fatalities for the year to 61. This represents an increase compared to the same date in 2024, when there had been 47 fatal crashes and 50 deaths.

“These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.”
