Austin police investigate fatal motorcycle and sedan collision on Pearce Lane

A fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Pearce Lane and Alomar Cove on Sunday, August 24, 2025. According to the Austin Police Department (APD), officers responded to a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle at 8:57 p.m. The motorcyclist, an unidentified male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the sedan were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

“This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 67th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 71 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 57 fatal crashes resulted in 62 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.”
