Austin police investigate double homicide on South Pleasant Valley Road

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at approximately 11:31 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a shooting at 2317 South Pleasant Valley Road. Callers reported several shots fired and people screaming. Upon arrival, officers located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The two other victims were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries; one of them later died at a local hospital. The third victim remains in stable condition despite sustaining life-threatening injuries.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.

This case is being investigated as Austin’s 28th and 29th homicides of 2024.
