Austin Parks and Recreation has announced several updates, including changes to golf course reservations and new amenities at local parks.

Starting Monday, October 27, Golf ATX will require weekend tee time reservations to be made online. This shift aims to accommodate the high demand for public courses. Golfers can book their slots starting at 8 p.m. on Mondays for the upcoming weekend through a registered Golf ATX account. Each account is limited to one tee time for four players. Weekday reservations remain unchanged. More details are available at GolfATX.org.

On Tuesday, October 28, the Joan Means Khabele Bathhouse at Barton Springs Pool will partially open to the public. The new restrooms and showers will be accessible from the pool side of the building, with pool entry moving to the east side. The front parking lot will reopen, except for a small fenced area where construction continues on the west side. The main entry rotunda and west side remain closed during ongoing work. For more information on pool hours and bathhouse rehabilitation, visit austintexas.gov/bartonsprings and austintexas.gov/bathhouse-rehab.

A ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, at Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt located at 5401 Springdale Rd., beginning at 9 a.m. This event is free and open to the public. The greenbelt now includes improved trails, a dog off-leash area, fitness equipment, a climbing boulder, and a community-inspired play area. The project was supported by Austin Parks Foundation, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Shield Ayres Foundation, and Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation.
