Austin Parks Department announces virtual meet-and-greet for cultural programs manager finalists

The Austin Parks and Recreation Department has announced a virtual meeting with finalists for the Museums and Cultural Programs Division Manager position. The selected candidate will manage an annual budget of $8.2 million for the operations of City of Austin museums, galleries, cultural centers, and spaces.

Community members are invited to join the department on Thursday, July 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for an online meet-and-greet session. Interested participants can register for the Zoom meeting. During this event, attendees will learn about the hiring process, candidates’ backgrounds, and have the opportunity to provide feedback on each candidate.

The Museums and Cultural Programs Division aims to offer safe and inclusive spaces where individuals can explore creativity and identity through various arts, histories, and cultures of Austin and beyond. The division also promotes civic engagement through festivals, performances, exhibitions, social practices, camps, workshops, and classes.
