This spring, Austin Independent School District (AISD) marked a significant milestone with the completion of the first project under the 2022 Bond. The district held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new learning spaces, featuring speeches from district leaders and performances by students.

In addition to celebrating this achievement, AISD has commenced construction on seven modernization projects at various schools: LBJ Early College High School (ECHS), Langford Elementary School (ES), Oak Springs ES, McCallum High School (HS), Anderson HS, Northeast ECHS & International HS, and Martin Middle School (MS).

The bond update highlights that secure entry vestibules will be installed in 36 schools over the summer to enhance safety for students and staff. “After this summer, we will have completed all of the secure entry vestibule projects included in the 2022 Bond,” stated AISD.

Looking ahead, three open-concept renovation projects at Cook ES, Oak Hill ES, and Williams ES are scheduled for completion before the start of the 2025-26 school year. Full modernizations at Allison ES, Harris ES, and Wooten ES are expected to open in January.

For those interested in further details about specific campus projects, information is available in the 2022 Bond Book or through school-specific resources. Feedback and questions can also be submitted through designated channels.
