Pickleball has seen rapid growth in the United States, with people of all ages participating. In Austin, several parks offer facilities for those interested in playing the sport.
Rosewood Neighborhood Park in East Austin features multi-purpose courts for both tennis and pickleball. The park is also known for its historical significance and provides access to the Eastlink Trail.
Dick Nichols District Park, located in Southwest Austin, includes five pickleball courts among other amenities. The park covers 152 acres and offers trails and open fields. Visitors may also consider stopping by the nearby Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park is situated in the Allandale neighborhood. It offers four pickleball courts as well as a pond, playground, and large green spaces.
Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park provides over 300 acres for recreation, including an off-leash dog area and trails suitable for biking or horseback riding. The park has four pickleball courts and disc golf facilities.
Pan American Neighborhood Park is close to restaurants in East Austin. It has three pickleball courts and is home to attractions such as the AB Cantu Pan Am Park Hillside Theater.
