Austin Chamber introduces award category honoring companies supporting working parents

Investments in family-friendly policies have been shown to improve employee retention, strengthen recruitment pipelines, reduce turnover costs, and increase engagement and productivity among workers.

The Austin Chamber of Commerce, working with United Way for Greater Austin and Early Matters Greater Austin, has introduced the Best Place for Working Parents category as part of the Greater Austin Business Awards. This recognition is given to organizations that support families while also building businesses that are resilient and competitive.

According to the announcement, “The four companies below are leading the way in prioritizing working parents through policy and culture that translate into measurable success and raise the bar for employers across the region.”

The statement highlights several benefits when employers invest in working parents: “Stronger employee retention; Improved recruitment outcomes; Higher morale and company loyalty; Increased productivity; A more inclusive, people-centered workplace culture.”
