Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has received the 2025 ASQ Customer Experience Award for Best Airports at Departures: 15 to 25 Million Passengers in North America from Airports Council International World (ACI World). This award is based on real-time surveys that measure traveler satisfaction across multiple aspects of the airport experience.

The recognition follows AUS’s previous honor in 2020, when it was named Best Airport by Size and Region for North America in the same passenger category. The ASQ Awards program, established in 2006, is recognized as a leading benchmarking tool within the airport industry. In 2025, ACI collected more than 700,000 passenger surveys from over 400 airports in more than 110 countries. These surveys evaluated performance using 30 key indicators related to the passenger journey.

ASQ gathers feedback during each stage of travel through AUS, providing data that helps identify trends and improve services to meet evolving traveler expectations. The airport offers a range of amenities and services for passengers, including live music performances and art exhibits reflecting Austin’s cultural heritage, as well as facilities such as the Barbara Jordan Terminal with shops and restaurants and a South Terminal serving low-cost and international carriers. More information about these features can be found on the official website.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our entire AUS team and our partners who work tirelessly to enhance the passenger experience,” said Ghizlane Badawi, AUS Chief Executive Officer. “As we continue to expand our infrastructure and modernize our airport, we remain focused on delivering a seamless, welcoming, and efficient journey for every traveler that passes through AUS.”

“Being honored with an ASQ Customer Experience Award by ACI highlights Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s commitment to understanding and continuously enhancing the end-to-end passenger experience,” said Justin Erbacci, Director General of ACI World. “This achievement highlights your role in delivering reliable, high-quality airport experiences.”
