Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) reported a slight increase in passenger traffic for June 2025 compared to the same month last year. The airport recorded 2,014,198 passengers during the month, marking a 0.06% rise from June 2024. Enplanements reached 1,023,218, up by 0.04%.
Among airlines operating at AUS in June 2025, Delta Air Lines saw a notable growth with passenger numbers rising by 10.6%, while Frontier Airlines increased its count by 154.7%. British Airways also experienced significant growth at 47.1%. In contrast, American Airlines saw its passenger numbers decrease by 16.8%, and JetBlue Airways experienced a drop of 52.4%. Other carriers such as Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines reported decreases of 0.6% and 4.5%, respectively.
For cargo operations in June, the airport handled a total of 21,734,511 pounds of air cargo—a decline of more than 14% from the previous year’s figures. However, international air cargo rose by over 7%. Air Transport International carried the most cargo with an increase of 14.4%, while Federal Express’s volume dropped by nearly half.
General aviation operations for the month were down over 9%, totaling just above three thousand movements.
Looking at data for the first half of the year (January through June), AUS served over ten million passengers—a decrease of about four and a half percent compared to the same period in 2024. Some airlines showed gains: Delta Air Lines’ passenger count was up more than eleven percent; Frontier Airlines more than tripled its passenger total; and Aeromexico saw an increase exceeding fifty percent.
Cargo activity from January to June totaled approximately 134 million pounds—down nearly eleven percent from last year’s levels—while international air cargo increased almost ten percent in that time frame.
Combined aircraft operations (including commercial and military flights) declined slightly both for June and for the six-month period ending in June.
