October marks a busy period at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) as the city prepares for major events. With record-breaking passenger volumes expected, AUS advises travelers to plan ahead and anticipate crowded conditions.

Travelers are reminded that air travel involves several steps and procedures. To assist passengers, AUS has provided a comprehensive guide to ensure a smooth journey.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screens all bags, so it is crucial for passengers to be aware of packing guidelines to avoid delays. Passengers should arrive at least 2.5 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights.

AUS is committed to providing a safe and pleasant experience for all travelers. Additional Department of Aviation staff will be on hand during peak times to help with line management, security, and navigation. Travelers are encouraged to approach airport employees with any questions they may have.
