In 2025, the Guest Services team at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) provided assistance to more than 780,000 passengers, answering questions and helping travelers navigate the airport. The team also organized 12 events throughout the year, where over 4,000 passengers participated in activities such as making envelopes for Lunar New Year, creating cards and crafts for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and wrapping gifts during the holiday season.

The Guest Services team manages the Volunteer Ambassador program, which is dedicated to supporting airport visitors by offering guidance and information. In 2025, volunteers contributed a total of 2,773 hours and assisted an additional 72,685 visitors.

The City of Austin oversees AUS operations as part of its broader responsibilities. The city manages a budget of $5.9 billion and employs more than 16,000 staff members to run various departments and services (official website). Diversity and inclusion are central values for the city government (official website), which has also received high ratings for its municipal services compared to other large cities (official website). The city maintains historic sites like Oakwood Cemetery and Zilker Botanical Garden within its park system (official website) and aims to foster community pride while focusing on sustainable development (official website).

According to the Guest Services team: “No matter when you travel, you can always find a friendly face at AUS to make your journey smoother. Next time you have a question, feel free to ask one of our Guest Services teammates – they’re always happy to help!”
